The route follows the A83 south from Clachan and then through the grounds of the imposing Ronachan House. This is a private house so please respect the privacy of the residents and pass through quickly and quietly. The route rejoins the A83 at the small car park at Ronachan (Place of the Seals) and you are very likely to see them on the rocks just offshore. Following the shore line you will enjoy walking by the Atlantic.
The shingle beach on the approach to Rhunahaorine can be hard work so take your time and enjoy the scenery and wildlife.
Around the south side of the point is a caravan park which has a shop selling basic supplies (seasonal). Continue south to the village of Tayinloan for the ferry to Gigha. There is also a shop in the village, with public toilets and an eatery at the ferry terminal and you can link up with bus routes from the village.
