Walk into Carradale village through forest tracks with stunning views across the Kilbrannan Sound to Arran.
From the village of Tayinloan head south along the coast and the route will soon bring you inland and up to cross the A83 – this is a busy road so take care when crossing. You will then find yourself heading up a broad track which is used by forestry and wind farm vehicles but they are usually heard long before they appear. As you climb you will be rewarded with amazing views across the seascape, westwards across to Gigha and beyond to Islay and Jura.
After walking through forest and passing Loch na Naich a sharp left turn leads to Deucheran Hill and its wind farm. The walk down the Glen into Carradale is extremely pretty and the village itself offers plenty of accommodation and eatery choices.
